The Larema Song

The Larema song was written and produced specifically for The BIG FIX Uganda in 2017. Steve Jay Omar and Emmanuel Otim, two talented local Acholi artists, wrote and recorded the song. The aim of this creative endeavor was to reach more people with our message of compassion for animals and people.

Larema means “my friend” in the local Luo language. The song is an educational anthem celebrating kindness to dogs and the powerful friendships they offer. Today, it is a cherished part of our celebrations and parades, spreading joy and reminding us of all the ways that dogs bring good into our lives.
