People and Dogs From Rabies
Rabies is killing people and dogs in Northern Uganda at an alarming rate.
When an infected dog bites a person here, there is no nearby hospital, no stock of life-saving medications, and no time to wait. Once symptoms appear, rabies is 100% fatal. Families are losing mothers, fathers, and children to a disease that is entirely preventable.
At the same time, the lack of access to sterilization means dog populations grow rapidly, leading to more suffering animals and increased risk of rabies spreading.
Our mobile clinics address both problems at once by providing:
• Free rabies vaccinations that protect animals and people
• Free spay and neuter surgeries to humanely reduce overpopulation
• Basic veterinary treatment for injured and sick animals
• Community education on rabies prevention and animal care
By bringing veterinary services directly into remote villages, we are protecting public health, preventing suffering, and saving countless lives.
Our mobile veterinary clinics are the only barrier standing between these communities and an entirely preventable yet deadly epidemic.
