The BIG FIX Uganda
A local saying in Northern Uganda “You will heal like a dog,”
means, you may live or die, but you will not have help.
At The BIG Fix Uganda, our saying is, “You will heal with a dog,”
meaning you will help each other.
In 2024, we were recognized as a Rabies Center of Excellence by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control.

Our Partners
The BIG FIX Uganda works in partnership with the following local governments: Gulu City, Gulu District, Amuru District, Pader District, Omoro District, Oyam District, and Nwoya District.
We are exceptionally proud of our partnership with Makerere University College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Bio-Security (COVAB) and our joint commitment to preparing the next generation of veterinary professionals.
We also have long standing partnerships with The Underdog International, Global Alliance for Rabies Control, Project AnimalAid, Human-Animal Bond Research Institute, and the United Against Rabies Forum.
In 2025, The BIG FIX Uganda became a founding member of the Animal Welfare Alliance of Uganda, and we are proud to work with the other registered animal charities in Uganda to address the many challenges we collectively face.
