The Comfort Dog Project pairs village dogs with guardians who have experienced trauma. Each paired team becomes a source of safety, healing, and hope for each other.
Sponsoring a Comfort Dog Team provides the care needed to keep both dog and guardian safe, healthy, and thriving during their time in the program, as well as support after they graduate.
Sponsorship provides:
Emergency food for the dog and guardian when needed
Regular veterinary care and vaccinations
Ongoing training for the dogs and regular mental health counseling for the guardians
Monthly monitoring visits to ensure both the guardian and dog are thriving
As a sponsor, you’ll receive regular updates and photos from your team so you can see the impact of your support and follow their journey through the program.
